Over 35 years of planning and development experience

Philippa Landor

BA (Hons) MSc Urban and Rural Planning

I have a passion for negotiating and love my work because of the broad range of projects and people that we meet. No two clients or jobs are the same. I pride myself on finding a convincing angle to promote a client’s development scheme or other planning objective. The best part of the work is to win in cases which at first seem impossible.

Philippa Landor is a Planning Consultant and the Director of Landor Planning Consultants Ltd. Philippa advises clients on a range of development projects and writes reports to support Planning, Listed Building and Enforcement Appeals and Applications. This includes Planning Statements; Design and Access Statements; Heritage Assessments; Sequential Assessments and Statements of Case. Philippa specialises in  planning appeals.

Outside of work, Philippa is a proud mum to two fantastic children and a proud auntie to a wonderful nephew. Philippa enjoys being active, kayaking in the Liverpool Docks and is a sometimes reluctant, but lifelong Aston Villa Fan.

Marion Landor

BA, Dip Ed.

The most satisfying aspect of our business, for me, is when we can find a way of bringing historic buildings back into viable use.

Marion Landor was the last to join the family company in 2014, after working in education for over thirty years.

Marion is not a Planner but has taken over the administrative tasks - essential for the efficient operation of any business. Marion’s role includes proof reading, preparing invoices, letters, VAT information and liaison with external agencies.

Out of the office, Marion regularly works out at Nuffield gym, is involved in the restoration of clerical robes at Liverpool Cathedral, organises an annual Holocaust Education event and indulges in baking and crafts – especially those which are Christmas orientated. She is a keen reader and walker and is  happy to be involved in all the messy activities the kids love.

Edward Landor

BA (Hons) Dip TP Cert Ed MRTPI

I see that my role as a Planning Consultant is to work in an inter-disciplinary way with other professionals and for clients, to focus on the only purpose in engaging with planning - to add value.

Edward Landor is the founder and Managing Director of Landor Planning Consultants Ltd. Edward has over thirty years of experience as a Planner in the Public and Private Sectors.

Edward is an experienced expert witness, appearing at Public Inquiries and Hearings related to CPO, Development Plan, Planning, Listed Building and Enforcement Appeals. He is an active member of the Royal Town Planning Institute and currently sits as Chair of University Partnership Boards at Anglia Ruskin University and the University of Newcastle. For a number of years, Edward has been an RTPI APC assessor.  He is a regular speaker at CPD events and is a guest lecturer at local universities.

Out of the office, Edward is an avid football fan and a regular feature at indoor cycling classes at Nuffield Gym- usually hiding at the back of the room! He also enjoys reading, walking and is a doting and much loved grandfather.
